Not many people know that Passoscuro’s beach, located to the north of the Natural Reserve of Litorale Romano, was the site of the final scene of the famous ‘La Dolce Vita‘ by Federico Fellini.
Moreso, in a restaurant in Passoscuro, the scene of the first encounter of two characters was filmed, these people turn out to be the protagonists of the movie’s final scene.
Owing to its calm and rustic location away from residential and commuter routes, the coast of Passo Oscuro offers an unspoilt beach with preserved coastal dunes, as opposed to the busier, touristic southern beaches.
